Once Gohan and Krillin summon Porunga with Dende's help, Guru senses it and stops his heart as he feels dying at that point would be a dick move. Guru shortly convinces him that he can win, but the moment Nail and Freeza fly off, Guru reveals that Nail stands no chance. Guru scoffs at that and tells him Nail will be the one to beat him in spite of Nail's insistance that Freeza is way above his league. When Freeza arrives, he threatens to kill Nail.
Instead, Guru gives the enhancement to Dende and sends him to find the earthlings. While Gohan Krillin and Vegeta are dealing with the Ginyus Nail points out that Freeza is heading their way and suggests that Guru give him a power enhancement. Upon which he lets them know of the Ginyu force coming their way.
He does the same to Gohan as Vegeta arrives. When he gets a visit from Krillin who asks for the dragon ball, Guru hands it over and gives him a power up, but acknowledges Krillin as not having much power to enhance. Upon the arrival of Freeza, Guru talks about how serious it is, but he seems to not be too phased. He also finds the death of his own people to be amusing as he establishes that he doesn't really like any of them.īefore Freeza's invasion, Guru spent his time bossing Nail around and needlessly calling him for things like seeing fish and beating up pretty birds. He considers Nail to be nothing more than a tool for his own amusement, and he is willing to die if it means screwing over others. Guru is shown to be a sadist who relishes in the suffering of others.
